Branding
that travels.

Because you need a logo for the name. And it has to look right on a business card, a truck, and a Christmas card.

Identity work that makes the business memorable. Logo, wordmark, colour, type. A system that holds together across the website, the work shirt, and the email signature, without falling apart when you scale it down to a favicon or stretch it across a fender.

// WHAT'S INCLUDED

The full brand kit.

Six deliverables that cover everything you need to look like a real company on day one. Files you actually own, in formats your printer and your web designer can both use.

// HOW IT WORKS

Four conversations. One brand kit.

No discovery deck, no brand archetype quizzes. We ask plain questions, we draw, we adjust, you approve. Most kits land in two to three weeks.

  1. // STEP 01

    The plain conversation.

    What do you do, who do you do it for, and what feeling should the logo give. Thirty minutes on the phone. We take notes. You don't fill out a form.

  2. // STEP 02

    Direction round.

    Three rough directions, side by side. Different shapes, different feelings. You pick one, or you pick pieces from each. We don't fall in love with our own work.

  3. // STEP 03

    Refinement.

    The picked direction gets pulled apart and rebuilt clean. Colour locked, type paired, the mark tested at 24px and on a tailgate. Two rounds of revisions.

  4. // STEP 04

    Handoff & ongoing.

    Full kit delivered. Files in every format you'll need. Then we stay on as the managed service, so when you need a one-off banner or a new business card, you call us.

// COLOUR STORY

Three colours. One sky.

The palette tells the same story the brand does. Aurora green is the closest layer. Night sky is the field. White is the North Star, the part you actually navigate by.

// LAYER 01 · CLOSEST

Aurora Green

#00D084

RGB0 / 208 / 132
CMYK79 / 0 / 65 / 0
PMS7479 C

The closest layer. The colour of the lights you see when you're far enough north that the sky moves. Energy, motion, signal. Used on the mark and nothing else by default.

// LAYER 02 · THE FIELD

Night Sky

#0A0A0A

RGB10 / 10 / 10
CMYK0 / 0 / 0 / 95
PMSBlack 6 C

The sky around the star. The field everything else sits on. Not pure black, one step warmer, so it dries clean on paper and doesn't go flat on screen. The quiet that lets the star do its job.

// LAYER 03 · TRUE GUIDANCE

North Star White

#FFFFFF

RGB255 / 255 / 255
CMYK0 / 0 / 0 / 0
PMSBright White

The star itself. The fixed point. Not the loudest colour in the kit, the most important one. White is what you set your bearing by. Everything else moves. The North Star doesn't.

Common questions

Things people ask before they hire us.

How long does a small business branding project take?

A typical brand kit takes two to four weeks from kickoff to delivery, depending on revision rounds and how quickly you can get on calls.

What do I get with a North Star IT brand kit?

Logo, wordmark, colour palette, type system, business card, email signature, and a written brand voice guide. Everything sized for web, print, and the side of a truck.

Can you redesign or refresh an existing brand?

Yes. We do full rebrands and quieter refreshes. We start by figuring out what is worth keeping and what is dragging the business down.

Do you trademark logos or just design them?

We design and deliver. For trademark filing in Canada, we hand off to a registered agent and stay on the call to make sure the assets line up.

Do you work with clients outside British Columbia?

Yes. We brand businesses across Canada. Most of our clients are in BC, Alberta, and the Yukon, but distance is not a problem.
