Your website has one job: make the phone ring.
Electricians, plumbers, HVAC techs, welders, excavation contractors. Your customers are not browsing, they are searching with a problem and a phone in their hand. We build fast, simple trades websites for a scoped fixed fee, delivered remotely anywhere in Canada, and you own the site outright.
Five things, done properly.
When a homeowner has a burst pipe or a dead furnace, they check three things in about ten seconds: do you do the thing, do you cover my area, and can I trust you. Then they call. A good trades website is built around exactly that behaviour.
Click to call, everywhere.
Your phone number is a tappable button in the header, the hero, after every service description, and in the footer. One thumb press starts the call. Nobody should have to hunt for your number.
A plain service list.
Panel upgrades. Drain cleaning. Furnace replacement. Mobile welding. Site prep and grading. Each service gets its own short, clear page so Google can rank it and customers can confirm you do what they need.
A clear service area.
The towns and regions you actually cover, stated plainly. This answers the customer's second question and tells Google where to show you. No vague "serving the region" filler that helps nobody.
Proof photos of real work.
A tidy panel, a finished install, a wrapped weld, a graded site. Photos from your own jobs beat stock imagery every time, because customers can smell stock photos.
Reviews where people decide.
Your Google reviews, pulled onto the page next to the call button, right where trust gets decided. Reviews are the closest thing a trade has to a referral from a stranger.
A short request form.
For the people who find you at 11 pm and do not want to call. Name, phone, and what they need. Three fields, not thirteen, and you call them back in the morning.
The stuff agencies sell you that nobody uses.
Plenty of contractor websites cost too much because they are loaded with features that sound impressive in a pitch and then sit untouched for years. Be skeptical of these:
- A blog nobody will write. Content marketing works when someone actually produces content. If you are running crews all day, that person is not you, and a blog whose latest post is three years old actively hurts trust.
- Customer portals nobody logs into. Your customers want to call you, get a price, and get the job done. They do not want another password.
- Online booking for complex work. A furnace replacement is not a haircut. Most trades jobs need a conversation first, so a phone call converts better than a calendar widget.
- Live chat bots. An unanswered chat window is worse than no chat window. Your phone number already does this job.
- Twenty pages of filler. A trades site does not need to be big, it needs to be right. Five to ten focused pages beat a sprawling site that buries the phone number.
Every feature you skip makes the site cheaper, faster, and easier to keep current. That is why our builds are scoped: we quote what your business needs and nothing you will not use.
Built for cheap phones on weak signal.
Your customers are not always on fibre at a desk. They are on a job site, in a rural driveway, or in a basement with one bar of signal, often on a mid-range Android that is a few years old. If your site takes ten seconds to load there, they hit back and call whoever loads next.
We build trades sites as lightweight, static pages: compressed images, no bloated page builders, no plugin stack that needs constant patching. The result loads fast on the worst connection your customers are likely to have, and stays fast. Speed is also a ranking factor, so the same discipline that wins the customer helps you show up in the first place.
Your website and your map listing work as a pair.
For most trades searches, the map pack at the top of Google gets the first calls. That means your Google Business Profile is not optional, and your website's biggest local SEO job is to back it up. The two need to tell the same story: same business name, same phone number, same services, same service area.
When we build your site, we line the two up. Service pages match the categories on your profile, your service area is spelled out in matching terms, and your reviews appear on the site, so the link on your profile lands people on a page that confirms what the listing promised. If your profile is missing or half filled in, we will point you at exactly what to fix during the build.
A checklist for hiring anyone, including us.
Whoever you hire, ask these questions before you sign. Any honest builder will answer them without flinching:
- Is the price fixed and in writing? A scoped quote means no surprise invoices when the project runs long.
- Who owns the domain and the site? The answer must be you. If the builder registers the domain in their own name, walk away.
- What happens if I leave? You should be able to take the site, the domain, and the content to any other provider without a fight or a fee.
- What does ongoing care cost? Hosting, updates, and changes should have published prices, not a number invented after you are locked in. Our guide to website care plans explains what maintenance should include.
- Will it be fast on a phone? Ask to see one of their sites on your own phone, on mobile data, not office wifi.
- Is the total realistic? Our breakdown of what a small business website costs in Canada gives you a sanity check before you compare quotes.
Fixed fee build. You own it. Optional care plans.

Straight answers for trades owners.
How much does a website for a trades business cost?
We quote a fixed fee after a short scoping call, so the price depends on how many services and pages you need. There are no hourly surprises: you approve one number before we start, and that is what you pay. Our guide to small business website costs in Canada walks through what drives the price up or down.
Do I need a blog on my contractor website?
Almost never. A blog only helps if someone actually writes it, and most trades owners are on the tools, not at a keyboard. An abandoned blog with two posts from years ago looks worse than no blog at all. Your money is better spent on service pages, proof photos, and reviews.
Can you build my site if my business is not in BC?
Yes. We deliver the entire project remotely, from the first scoping call to launch, for trades businesses anywhere in Canada. Everything happens over video calls, email, and shared review links, so your location never affects the work.
Who owns the website when it is done?
You do. The domain is registered in your name, the site and its content belong to you, and if you ever leave us you take everything with you. We do not hold websites hostage, and we put that in writing.
What do your website care plans cost?
Care plans are published at $149, $349, and $649 per month, covering hosting, updates, backups, security, and content changes at increasing levels. Founding pricing of $127, $297, and $552 is available on plans started before September 1, 2026. Care plans are optional: you can also take the finished site and manage it yourself.
Will the website help my Google Business Profile?
They work as a pair. Your Google Business Profile often wins the map results, and the website backs it up with matching services, service area, photos, and a consistent name and phone number. We set the site up so the two reinforce each other, which is where most trades calls actually come from.
